It’s cute but not as dressy as I hoped for and the tie around the waist is sewn onThis dress is very complementing - at least if you have a curvy/hourglass figure. I have a small waist but am shy of my stomach. This dress ran a little large in my opinion, but that ended up working in my favor! I could've worn 2 sizes smaller, but I tied the belt tight, and pulled the dress up over the belt so it was baggy on the top half, draping over the belt a bit. It looked so great, almost like a tiered dress!! I really really loved the look! I dressed it up with some really glitzy rhinestone jewelry & wore it to a rehearsal dinner, then a few weeks later to another wedding! Some notes: I tried ironing this and had no success. Definitely hang it up immediately near your shower to let the wrinkles fall out. Also, the belt was sewn in on one side, but I hated that. I didn't want to tie it in the place that was requiring. I was able to snip out the string that was holding it on; its not sewn into the seam although it looks like it is!Highly recommend this dress!!!Wish I could have worn this dress! Definitely do not go by the sizing chart, way too large. I read reviews and saw how others mentioned it ran large, so I went two sizes down from the measurements on the sizing chart. I wish I would have gone another two sizes smaller after that. The wrinkles from the packaging. I have not laundered the dress. I hope after washing the wrinkles will fall. The tag says do not iron or tumble dry.Sorry to say I did return the dress. Was so cute and so comfy.. just was big.My father died very suddenly and I realized I didn’t have anything to wear to his funeral. I quickly ordered several dresses on Amazon from Pinup Fashion, a brand I’ve bought before. This dress turned out to be perfect. It’s classy and elegant—the perfect look to honor Dad. My late mother would have approved, and later I can dress it up with some jewelry, a colored scarf or a pin.The ONLY negative I have to say is that when I tried it on and then took it off, the little elastic loop that goes around the top button came loose. It’s a good thing I can sew and was able to re-insert the loose end. However, if I wasn’t a practiced sewist, I would have had to take it to someone to fix, or just pin it behind the button and hope no one noticed.I like this dress, but the waist doesn’t hit me right. It is designed for someone more busty, so it’s a bit saggy at the top for me. I’m a c cup, and this would be a better fit If I were a double D or about 6 inches taller.Nice fits well
